Greg Biffle's first year in the Cup series was 2002, but at that point he was by no means inexperienced. With a Craftsman Truck Series championship and a Busch Series championship (the first driver to win the two titles), he is one of only 15 drivers who have won races in all three of NASCAR's premier series.

Greg Biffle holds the record for wins in a single year in the Craftsman Truck Series with nine, racing for Jack Roush in his second year in the series. He is tied for fourth in wins in the series, with 16.

Biffle won Rookie of the Year in the Busch Series in 2001, just as he had in the Truck Series in 1998. His Busch career seemed to mirror his career in the Truck Series, and he won the championship in his second year.

His best year in the Cup Series came in 2005, when he finished second in points to champion Tony Stewart and won six races, the most of any driver that year.
